These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of the centralized identity, account system, and digital billing platform provided by Flashbytes (Pty) Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "flashbytes core", "we", "us", or "our"), hosted at flashbytes.co.za.By creating an account, accessing our website, or purchasing any digital services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, which are aligned with the South African Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) and the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).1. Description of Services
flashbytes core operates a unified software-as-a-service (SaaS) identity and central billing gateway. Through your single flashbytes core account, you can authenticate into, manage profiles for, and purchase digital solutions for various connected applications within our network, including but not limited to:
* Our digital commerce application (carto.co.za)
* Future connected ecosystem applications, utilities, and interactive digital software2. Accounts and Authentication
To use our connected services, you must register a master account at flashbytes.co.za. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.3. Subscription Tiers, Free Trials, and Automatic Billing
* Subscription Options: Connected applications (such as Carto) may offer Free, Pro, and Enterprise tiers.
* Free Trials: Where a Free Trial is provided for a premium tier, users receive full access to specified premium features for the designated trial duration.
* Automatic Conversion: Upon expiration of the Free Trial period, the subscription will automatically convert into a paid, recurring subscription. Your designated payment method will be billed automatically on a monthly or annual cycle (as selected during your initial registration) unless you cancel the subscription via your centralized flashbytes.co.za dashboard at least 24 hours prior to the expiration of the trial.
* Recurring Billing: Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual) unless cancelled through your account dashboard.4. Once-Off Digital Purchases
Certain connected applications may offer once-off digital transactions (such as software modifications, virtual items, or cosmetic updates). Access to these once-off digital assets is provisioned instantly upon successful payment confirmation from our payment gateway.## 5. Payment Processing
All financial transactions are securely routed and processed in South African Rand (ZAR) via our authorized, PCI-compliant payment gateway, Payfast by Network. flashbytes core does not capture, store, or process raw credit card or financial data on its own servers.6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, flashbytes core shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our platform or any connected third-party applications.7. Governing Law

When you log into a satellite application (such as carto.co.za) using your master flashbytes core account, our central system securely transmits basic identity verification tokens and transaction status signals (e.g., confirming a successful once-off purchase or verifying an active subscription tier). We do not expose your underlying payment methods, banking details, or full billing history to these connected applications.4. Payment Gateway Safety and Third Parties
We do not process or store credit card numbers on our infrastructure. All payment operations are handled exclusively by our secure, external payment gateway, Payfast by Network. Any personal information shared with Payfast is strictly limited to what is legally required under South African financial regulations to validate the transaction, manage recurring mandates, and comply with anti-fraud measures.5. Refund and Cancellation PolicyThis policy outlines the cancellation framework and refund guidelines for all recurring subscriptions and once-off digital purchases managed centrally through flashbytes.co.za.1. Centralized Cancellation Management
Users may cancel their premium application subscriptions or active Free Trials at any time by logging directly into their account dashboard at flashbytes.co.za.
* Trial Cancellations: If you cancel during your Free Trial window, no charges will be issued to your account, and your tier access will automatically revert to the Free tier at the end of the trial period.
* Mid-Cycle Cancellations: If you cancel a paid recurring subscription mid-cycle, your access to premium features will persist until the end of your current prepaid billing period. No pro-rata refunds will be issued for the remaining days of that cycle.2. SaaS Subscription Refunds & Statutory Cooling-Off Period
In compliance with Section 44 of the South African Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), consumers are entitled to a 7-day cooling-off period from the date a paid subscription officially begins.
* Because an advance Free Trial period is provided to evaluate the software before any billing occurs, refunds requested after a trial converts to a paid subscription will only be granted if the premium features of the connected application (e.g., the commerce tools on carto.co.za) have not been actively utilized to process commercial transactions or data during those 7 days.3. Once-Off Digital Purchases
In accordance with Section 42(2) of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), the statutory 7-day cooling-off period does not apply to digital goods, instantly consumed virtual items, or cosmetic digital assets (such as in-game modifications) once the digital delivery or provisioning process has begun. Consequently, all once-off digital transactions processed via Payfast are final and non-refundable.4. Total Service Interruption
In the highly unlikely event that a catastrophic system failure causes total service unavailability across our core infrastructure for a continuous period exceeding 72 hours, Flashbytes (Pty) Ltd will, upon request, issue a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of that billing cycle within 30 days.5. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed via Payfast back to the original payment method utilized during the purchase. Please allow up to 7–10 business days for the funds to reflect in your account following bank clearance.
